Fall reading...

Fall seems to be my favorite time of year. I love the way the air feels and smells! Crisp and cool... the way all the leaves change to brilliant yellows, reds, and oranges... all of it makes me wants to be cozy and curl up in a big warm blanket, drink cider, and read a book. I love to read. It's my ultimate unwind! There are few things better than a good book. I get lost in the pages reading about complicated romances with beautiful ball gowns and exciting sword fights. I absolutely love reading anything to do with history! Especially European history for some reason. I'm currently re-reading "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follet. It is one of my favorite stories about the building of a cathedral during the early 1100's. There is so much in it to love; raging battles, cunning, romance, treachery, betrayal, murder, faith, determination and such hope. The character development is so rich and the setting so colorful you can literally feel yourself walking around in this world the author has created. It is definitely a must read. All the reading I do about Europe makes me want to go there so bad! If I had the money I'd go there and spend a year or more just soaking up everything! I would love it, every second! Someday...
